New RPG development topic.

This is the new topic for discussing the development of the RPG game. The old topic began too get too big and crowded. In this one Double-Posting will be not be permitted.

A new schedual has been developed for our three-man team:

Axl777 - Sunday, Monday

Bock - Tuesday, Wednesday

Undertow - Thursday, Friday, Saturday


Please contact me or make a post if you would like me to change this schedual in any way. The scedual is expected to take effect begining next week (November 30, 2008) It would be prefered if you could post a link to a download location the night before the end of your shift.

If you will not be availible on any day of any shift, please let us know and one of us will fill in for you.

I am not even sure if it will work on certain file types, but you can see if the File Catalog and see if it works.

We will be using the Calandar to mark events such as game events and releases.



Finally, does anyone think making a new buisness is a good idea? I can get more people I know to help out. People say I have good leadership skills to be a President of grouped activities and such, but I am not so sure yet. I am considering it for now, but let me know your thoughts as well.

I haven't been working on it. Back when you thought it was my turn to work I thought it was yours, so it looks like neither of us were working on it. That's what I was trying to tell you, I didn't make a new version.

Edit: I am going to try it again, but I think the data is in the incorrect format. It needs to be in RGSS format and the files are all over the place now.

Well, I am having a bit of trouble in the menus and I want it fixed before I release the Pre-Alpha, however I can't find it.

Go to the game menu, go to SKILLS, you will see what I mean. Please try fixing this.

I have done a few edits for the Pre-Alpha, please don't change them back.

Here is the download, please upload the new version when you are done.

Finally, try changing the title graphic to one titled "Tales of Battle" on top, and then below the menu, maybe in one of the corners, "developed by Axl777 and Bock".

dude what changes did you do to it ? beides but our name all over it where making a game i will put our logo in the beginning when the game loads in the future
but over than that no new maps dude

Well, I am making my own thing now. I am not into making new maps until I finish with the current ones. Like I said, I am making a game and I am trying to fix all the errors.

Please just fix that menu problem I mentioned and you can let me have the game again.

That bug has been there forever and never fixed, I made no changes to the graphics.

that error is there permanently the script i refusing o read the picture and thats causing problems with that thats why after i lear enough i will dump this battle system and make my own custom oe its actutly quite easy the hard part is programming wepons changing and skills to it

So you can't fix it? Can't you just change the image used?

I will take any alternative to just quitting after going so far. I don't think I can work on a clean slate without a ton of help and if you aren't going to be making anything with me then I can't do anything either.

Come on, any way to bypass it or anything?

Well, try changing the setting. Obviously there is a setting that tells it to display that picture somewhere, if we can change it to load a different picture, or delete the setting alltogether, we can fix it.

Try searches on the internet and certain programs to get the symbols if you would like to try that. Look up fractions for the fractions, I dunno what kind of crazy symbols those are.

Do you know anyone who is better at this?

Do your best okay? I would go with the first option, I am doing everything I can right now.

Well anyways, try fixing that in any way you can ok?

Like I said, there must be something telling the thing to load that image when looking at SKILLS, if you could change or remove the setting you can fix it. Also, make it Skills instead of SKILLS.
