Vista SUCKS ARSE and it's worse than the XP. And Vista is the most recent computer! The XP is like 3 years old! LOL!

I prefer windows to linux or mac, but that is only because not much runs on mac, at least from my experiences with it, and i have only ever used a linux-epuipped computer once, and did not like the overall layout and appearance of it.
\i just bought a vista laptop a few days ago, and have had some troubles with it, but the appearance of it is definitely very nice looking. The lack of compatibility with other older programs (and the apparent fact that "compatibility mode" doesn't do shit) makes it slightly aggravating.

I got a Modified Version of Vista Ultimate called Windows Vista Black edition that my friends cousin finished making and it can run XP and Vista Programs and makes two copies of IE when you open it so if one has to be closed the other backs you up and when one is closed another backup is made.

It isn't really bad, it just eats up a lot of resources. Get a powerful computer with about 3GB of RAM and don't get Home Basic and it will work fine.

my vista pwns why you her so many bad thing about htem i s because in the building prosess they mess up one little thing on the circut board witch makes the vista runs so fast it deletes its operatin gsystem my first vista did that this perfect no problems for a year now i am in the clear

Dude, you just need a good computer to run it. I recommend 3GB and Vista Home Premium.

It isn't Microsoft's fault you can't seem to afford a powerful computer.
